Kanaya Hotel Kinugawa, Nikko

The half board dinner was absolutely really good. Each course was meticulously prepared, presenting a real taste of traditional Japanese cuisine. The long dining experience allowed us to sample dishes that we would normally overlook. The attention to detail, from the artistic crockery to the vibrant flavors, made every meal nice. The dessert trolley post-dinner was a good touch as well!

The onsen was a highlight of my stay, beautifully designed and spacious. I loved that it was open-air, allowing for a true connection with nature. I felt so rejuvenated after soaking in the warm waters surrounded by scenic views. The peaceful atmosphere made it a perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring.

I stayed in a spacious room that celebrated traditional Japanese aesthetics. The tatami mats and simple decor created a calming environment. Although the room had a faint view of trees, it added to the secluded feel. The air conditioning worked wonderfully, ensuring a comfortable stay even on warmer days. I really appreciated the free mini bar stocked with refreshments as well!

The staff truly went above and beyond to accommodate families. They engaged with my young child during dinner to allow us some peaceful time to finish our meals. This thoughtful gesture made our dining experience much more enjoyable. Such kindness and attention to families is rare and added a wonderful touch to our overall stay.
